Artist asked me to post a quick update for the board.

The power is still out, FP&L (Florida Power & Light) estimates it will be Monday or Tuesday before it is back up. He will check in later.

Let's all hope that FP&L are off and he gets power back earlier. It is hot, muggy, and unpleasant.

Thanks to all for the good wishes.

The laptop has some battery left. We still have no electric. I charged the computer up at the local Starbucks this morning and might do so again tomorrow if needed. All is basically as well as one could expect here in the dark.

One very bright note - a friend has a generator that he did not need since he has power and he brought it over. It is a small one and we are only using it to run the fridge and a box fan.

I will check in as I can.

That is a true friend Artist. I saw a report on TV showing electrical crews from all over staging out of the parking lot at Gulfstream Park. Hang in there, the cavalry is coming.

Hey Artist. It looks like that Hurricane is a CAT5 now. Too bad for the people in Louisiana and surrounding areas.

We have our power back! It came on a little while ago and I am just getting the computer cranking.

Thanks. I am glad to be back. Not only is electricity a wonderful thing, but the lack of running generator noise is nost delightful. I think we had an average of one generator per 2 houses. Loud.
