Prime Rib is a internet hijacker. Darn near ruined the other board we have and for the most part has screwed us from ever having peacful discussion. He has some ability to take over our names on this list and post *as* us. That wasn't mel who wrote that, it was "Prime Rib".

I think Prime Rib is the name they (there are more than 1 it appears) use becuase it is similar to "T-bone", the other group owner.

Becuase of him we have 3 boards, all sorts of confusion, have had innocent people driven from the main boards becuase people couldn't tell who was who.

Prime Rib is just a dick (all of those who make up the name Prime Rib, that is).

Anyone can use my name on boards that don't require passwords. However, using this one as an example. No one has or will use my name (member #3). I use different, strong, passwords on all boards i've EVER been on. Therefore, getting ahold of a user list with passwords from an "old board" won't work with me. I hear passwords can be gotten with repeated attempts and if by some odd chance he did figure out my password. He wouldn't get away with it for very long, seeing that I know what i've posted. His whole game is impersonating people causing fights then kicking back and laughing about it. Just look for the posts by new users with a lot of foul language or personal attacks.

Well, that remains to be seen. As Jeff explained, this is a very determined person doing the impersonating. Thus far it seems to be doing OK. And I am around often enough to keep it under control.

The alternative is to shut the board down and that is not a viable option.

Well this is not for me. I tried to find a way to cancel my registration but I don't know how but I don't like sites that are all about having to figure out who is posting, imposters, deleted messages, and more.

By the way, you will find that most boards have these problems. Let me know if you find the perfect board.

Yes, if you could delete me, that would be great.

I am on two other boards and they have 100% no problems. They do have personal attacks and fights but they are a sports board and a politics board so no one minds. But no hijackers, troll's, etc.

No offense to you but with this going on, it just isn't for me.

I just tried to make an account with the name "Jeff". Just like I expected the username has already been taken. So, there are no imposters here. Except for the ones that took other peoples names to begin with. Then fade in and out saying someone else is posting as them.
