It looks like the area where the logo is will be expanded, creating what amounts to a picture within a picture.

In some markets, besides having local weather info, the black bar has scrolling ads. They won't give up that revenue.

Sounds like consultant hooey to me.

"The window is a vehicle...."
No, it is a window. My vehicle has windows so that I may experiece the spectacular power of the moron in the car next to me scarfing down his fast food lunch while talking on the phone and giving me the finger.

"...dare to dream about the possibilities of weather."
I dream of a day when all men can have equally bad weather. I dream of a day when the weather will no longer just be for the majority. For I have been to the mountaintop, and it is damned cold up there.

"....I have a scheme."

Actually, do you know the REAL reason for the black bar? Some of the OCM's have to wear ankle tracking transmitters. The black bar saves the the embarassment of it being seen on-air on the women's legs, or the men's if the pants ride up.

I believe that the contents are being used by Heidi Cullen in coming up with her "science."

I have ads in the black bar while local on the 8's is on. But, not while OCM's are on the tv. Unless its a severe storm watch and the black bar sometimes turns yellow.

Marshall looks so natural. Almost as if he's still alive. TWC stuffed him, just like Roy Rogers did Trigger.

I was thinking more the Ted Williams treatment. They thaw him out every morning. And of course when they freeze him, they do protect the tender vegetation.
