Since Heather went to Day Planner, it seems to me that she is dressing frumpier than she did on YWT. No tight sweaters, new do (I really don't care for it) and she just looks like she cares less.
Now, it could well be that she is disgusted with TWC (and who could blame her for that?) but she just doesn't have the same zip for me she once did.
Your thoughts? |

I've seen a few tight sweaters(she had on a gorgeous blue one Sunday IIRC)...but I can imagine developing a not-give-a-sh*t attitude if I got stuck with Carl Parker as my partner too.
Ugh... |

Well, I have always noticed that she has dry spells from time to time, where she can seemingly go weeks just wearing jackets and other boring outfits. That's probaly the one complaint that everyone has. The hair is just a matter of preference. But the attitude thing is a whole diffrent issue.
Personally, I don't really notice her "mailing it in", so to speak. But I think she's made it pretty clear on her Twitter page that she isn't happy with the direction of the station. Not only did they change her shift, but in the past year she has seen her 9 year partner retire, and watched a good chunk of the staff leave the station, usually not by choice. Nobody seems to have regular hours anymore. And she is stuck with a lame partner that gets 2/3 of the map time. I think that's why everyone thinks she might be leaving in the next year or so.
If it's any consolation to her, the whole station has become a joke. The moment she left YWT, the show was taken over by Cantore. The other two hosts might as well not even be there. If everyone else leaves the station, that guy will still be there, guaranteed. Him and Stephanie Abrams. I don't really have a problem with her, but can we go more then ten minutes without some commercial shoving her down everyone's throats? |

The reason they had Nicole filling in is because they have gotten rid of so many people that even the ones with regular hours(like her) have to be on call.
And their website is no help. If you went by that, you would think Heather was on Monday-Friday. If it wasn't for her Twitter page, most people would be wondering why she was off every Thursday and Friday. Their roster is so small now that they still have Marshall Seese listed as an on-air talent! |

FWIW today's the second Wednesday in a row that Heather hasn't been on the air. Maybe she needs a break already... |

She had to have some semblance of working actual weather, rather than the week-long commercial for Busch Gardens.
One nearly bankrupt company with thinly veiled advertising on a soon-to-be bankrupt network. Ironic. _________________ ------------

Maybe the new schedule conflicts with her family's schedule, something like that. Or maybe it's just getting really hard to get enthused about going to work, like this topic was originally about.
And I never really got the reasons behind sending people to places like Sea World to swim with dolphins. They never really explained what that has to do with weather. I'd blame it on NBC's influence, but they were doing that crap before the sale. It's probaly only a matter of time before they do away with the weather forecasts all together, and just have fluff shows 24/7. Then they can film at Busch Gardens, Disney World, and whatever other theme park they can think of until their hearts content. Can't wait until we see Cantore reporting live from Splash Mountain |

Hopefully we'll get news stories of them picking Cantore's lifeless body out of Splash Mountain. |
