Looks like Katrina (it will be named that soon enough) is heading pretty much right at me. And if that is not bad enough, the Great American Bald Ego is also coming here. I am not sure which is worse, but look what I found in my homeowner's policy:
Now I know why our homeowner's insurance went up. It ws a line item called "TCS." It must mean "The Cantore Surcharge." Hang on, I have the policy here.
Section 27, paragraph 8:
"In the event that Jim Cantore visits the insurance zone, as defined in schedule d-19, more than once in any Atlantic Tropical Cyclone Season (as defined by the National Hurricane Center), Insured shall be assessed a one time fee equal to 22.5% of the annualized premium.
"In addition, every Jim Cantore visit shall cause the windstorm damage deductible to increase by 1% (one percentage point) over the deductible defined in the currently active policy, but in no case shall be less than 7.5% of the total assessed value of the insured property.
"Should Jim Cantore do a live remote broadcast from ANY POINT within a 2.5 mile distance from the insured property, this policy shall not apply under the force majeure clause." |

If the insurance agent sees this, it will probably be on next year's policy update with a note saying "We should have thought of this". |

Cantore already has his panties in a wad trying to get out of Miami and get up to the panhandle. |

Hey Artist. SS did not come on last night! Jlo was still on, I wonder if this was the dual feed for Florida. Or was there no SS nationwide last night? |

We had the live feed with Jenny Poo here in IN as well.
Artist took direct hit on this one. There is widespread power outages. Let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers.
And let's hope that Cantore didn't come within 2.5 miles, or his homeowner's insurance is KAput. |

Generally, when in a legal document like an insurance policy, it is statute unless specifically stated.
I've had to deal with too many lawyers in life. |
