1. How many members think we have a TWC monitor as a member?

2. How many members think we have a TWC OCM as a member so he/she can pass along what is posted here to any OCM who might want to know about it?

3. Do you think Kristina might be a member?

1) I am relatively certain of it. They woud be remiss if they did not monitor these sites for feedback.

2) I suspect we have one or two from all of the networks. Again, they would be professionally remiss for not monitoring fan feedback. I know that certain FNC on-air types monitor the boards and sites.

3) That is actually very likely. At the very least, I am pretty sure she lurks on the various boards. If you were the topic of a discussion board, wouldn't you sneak in and see what was up?

T-bone, I tend to agree with Artist though you may be correct on 3.

It is also interesting that, in the two days since I posted the above item, forty-six members have looked at it but just you two have given opinions.

We all seem to agree on (1)

Your questions were what do we "think". I "think" none of the OCMs know about this board OR would care to know. Same with my place. Though through the years it has developed a reputation so a few may know of it but that's about all.

Kristina? HA!

Just my humble and somewhat experienced opinion is all.

I would have thought there would be more takers as well, unless a lot of the members work at TWC and thay are awaiting the consultant's response.

It is a matter of opinion. I tend to believe that TV people, be they news, weather, sport or entertainment are always looking to see what the viewers think so they can maximize. That however is just one guy's opinion. Rolling Eyes

I couldn't disagree more. These people are self indulgent, elitist snobs and look down at us as peons, ants, generally lower life forms. They don't care what we think about them. They only care what their peers may think. If that!

No. We're something to be scraped off their shoes or little more. Not worth the time of day.

I can see that some of them do think like that, but I would say that a lot of them are pretty much regular folks with regular lives off camera.

I think we all agree that Kristina goes overboard in the ignore the fans department. However, that is her privilege. She is still pretty, even if she ignores and to an extent, dislikes us.

I guess it depends on the actual "anchor". Whether they are computer literate or not. If I were on tv, I would google my name and see what people are saying. I know people from all the networks like to check out caps, because I used to email them and pass my address!. And they would bite every time. They might not always respond but, the logs don't lie.

I know people consider there to be something strange going on at TWC. But, somebody there likes to look at caps too. Not sure on who'd that be, since i've never sent/received an email from them.

I know of one anchor that frequents message boards (obviously not from TWC) and posts under an alias. I suspect this is not the only one.

This is just speculation, on a blog I post on some of the people are so blatantly obvious "paid posters" from opposing networks. All they do is bash CNN or FNC. Even if people that don't usually watch one or the other praises them on certain coverage. You'll always have the negative people. I guess these type of people would be from the networks but, not on air talent. Maybe they do it on their own, maybe told to. Who knows.

I tend to agree with Artist. I would think that these days there would be a PR type person that would monitor the web for feedback and/or misrepresentation of their station/show. I don't think that it would be a high offical of the station, but just some low leval person to reprot back. I know if I was the topic of a board, i would check in to see what people thought.

They would be foolish not to monitor a "free" pole of their station. T-Bone they may be snobs, but remember what got them where they are, image, i would think that feedback to maintain that image would be important.

Why would Kristina or any other met want to read message boards? Let's be perfectly honest here. Most posters fall into two categories. The "she's fat" category or the "I'd like to $#@! her" category. That's what you see on message boards. If that offends anyone, I'm sorry, but that's the truth. The overwhelming majority of posts about Kristina (and any beautiful woman on TV) are truly disgusting. If you've looked at other boards you know what I mean. I've even seen Yahoo groups that use words like b__ch, w__re and c__t to describe her. Why would she want to see that? It's much easier to avoid it all. Her "fans" (with a few exceptions, of course) are just freaks.

T-bone, you must be aware of all this. You may be harmless, but you get lumped in with the screwballs because she can't run the risk of encouraging others by responding to you. You should try to put yourself in her position.

While like most networks TWC surely employs professional monitoring services (Arbitron, etc.) to provide numbers for advertisers and carriers as a function of time, event, OCM, etc, I also suspect that TWC is interested in the "why" behind the numbers; and comments (and photos) such as those on this site would seem to be invaluable. Cool
