My eternal thanks to you for doing what you've done all these long years. I was deeply saddened when I logged on yesterday. I've saved the goodbye page. Of course, we never got that chance with KAppy, so this is a 'good' ending. Ironic that I didn't believe the post saying you'd shut it down. That's how low things had gotten on the invader front.

I surrender. I'm here. I've never been in favor of fractured board wars, so I stayed away from the others. Artist knows me well enough to understand there was nothing personal in staying away. And his decision to start this board was his, and far be it from me to stand in the way of that.

As soon as this board and Tyler's board went up, the long knives came out for T-Bone, and I well and truly resented that behavior, thus my reasons for sticking to KA-razy Talk. T-Bone invested huge amounts of time, money and effort maintaining KA-razy Talk, and denegrating those efforts was an affront to me. You know who you are.

That said, I'm all for moving forward. I'm glad to see T-Bone's handle here, as I expect him to remain a part of our community. And I will remain in the neighborhood, just as I always have.

Artist, I figure you're being swamped with registrations at a bad time for you and everyone in Miami. Thanks for logging me on as quickly as you did. I've a friend in N. Miami who's in Brazil as we speak, and he tells me most of his complex has been ruined by Wilma. I hope your roof is intact.

So I'll return to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

Tbone, I was only on the board since about March of this year. But, I had a good time and would like to thank you. By having and maintaining a place for people with like interests is an invaluable asset which will be missed. Thanks for the time invested.

And I'm a writer/producer by trade, so it is what I do for a living (And I NEVER wrote second drafts in HS. I was self-editing, and if I didn't like it the first time, it was shite anyway!).

I just hold to the theory that coming here, wherever here is, should be enjoyment for the most part. So I mostly try to keep my spankings of other board members to a minimum. The KFAN/BC axis during the elections, well, all bets were off, but that was fun.

And our incendiary visitors who will not be named kinda pissed me off here and there, simply because I wasn't enjoying it any more.

The registration aspect of this board will limit a lot of the crud we've been going through, so that's a good thing.

I just come for the fun any more.

Well said Anon. I too usually would stay away from the more ignorant people who posted on T-Bone's forum - it was a waste of time trying to communicate with those people like Cotter, etc. I kind of lost it a few days ago when the T-Bone imposter started making threats. (Sorry about that T!) I always thought our community was about fun, not flame, and some of the debates were certainly fun to follow. I'm sure that we'll have that here now as others migrate over and hopefully the riff-raff will be minimized. Also, Artist hope you're doing ok. I'm working in Tampa and a guy from the Miami area just got back here today after driving since the airport was closed. Was out of power but heard that things are coming back, so hopefully you'll be back up sooner rather than later! Take care out there.

The attacks on T were all from the same source using a bunch of names. A one-man board war using various aliases. He even got ahold of T-bone's e-mail and was using it to send fakes. I don't think that you'll have to worry about that fool again.

T-bone and myself have e-mailed back and forth, and he knows how important the board was to my recovery. I am eternally grateful.

I stopped posting over on his board because of the constant attacks. I got tired of being told that they hoped that my cancer would come back. The posts calling Artist and myself "Cancer Boy and his pet Jew" was the final straw.

I think that you will find that Artist will be less tolerant of the political attack posts. Name calling will get you banned pretty fast.

I urge everybody to read Artist's first post under "Welcome;" simple rules that should be easy for all to follow.

I think that you will find it a peaceful and friendly place.

I want to thank T-Bone for his hard work over the years. I was saddened to see the board close down, but I can certainly understand the reasoning. I think all of us owe T-Bone a thanks for picking up the torch when he did.

I hope this place works for everyone. I tend to rely on the honor system, but will not tolerate the long knives.

Anin, I totally understand your thinking and agree with you. I tended to stay on T-Bone's board as well. Welcome, and please make yourself to home.

Yes, thanks T-bone for being our eternal servant for all those years. Not a day went by that I was home that I didn't log on several times a day.

And to Artist, thank you for keeping this avenue open. I thought of opening another starforums board but quickly thought twice. I think this board will do nicely.

I appreciate T-bone for all his efforts! (I hope he appears on this board.) He went through a lot, and he deserves respect and gratitude for the board. He's a good man. Very Happy
