Right - I see that some threads are out of control and needed to be dealt with. They have been deleted. I will not countenance this nonsense. It is one thig to disagree, another to attack. I can't even sort ourt who started it. The time stamps were all within seconds. And I don't care. The threads are deleted. I suggest everyone let them go and resume talking about the ladies.
To clarify a couple of things:
1) There is no reasonable expectation of privacy here. What you post here should be regarded as a public utterance. Law enforcement is welcome to read every word. I would report anything I felt was appropriate. Registratin is a way to control who can post.
2) The spectre of police monitoring is beyond frightening the way it was used. It is a violation of our fundamental rights. To quote one of the men that conceived those rights, "He who would give up liberty for security deserves neither." (That may not be exact, but it is close enough.)
3) This was a joke about a newspaper story that got taken wrong. It then devolved from there. Can we please try to stay off the personal stuff? There was more than one incident involving several people. I am not banning anyone now, but I am not in the most tolerant mood of late.
4) Deleting is not my first choice, but I will do so when I feel I have to. |

Thanks, Artist.
And to mention the ladies, I know that no one can honestly disagree that the Dhue looked beautiful this evening. |

ARe we allowed to debate? That seemed like a healthy debate.
How limited are we on here?
If someone writes something that so many people don't like, are they not allowed to share the opposing view? |

Debate is more than welcome. Both of those threads had deveolved into perosnal attack. I had no problem with the opposing views, but the personal stuff was not going to happen, and it was impossible to just edit the attack stuff out.
Basically, as long as there are no personal attacks involved, I really don't have a problem. You want to trash one of the ladies? Go ahead. Keep it out of the gutter, but go for it. If somone posts something you disagree with, then disagree - but do so in a civil manner, those 2 threads went quickly uncivil.
If you want to continue the debate, go ahead. But please stay off the personal stuff. |
